On 13th July, students from our Autistic Resource Base, EAL and Nurture visited the Seacity Museum, Southampton to further explore the history of Titanic studied in class. The trip began with a guided tour of the Titanic exhibition. Students were able to use interactive displays such as the ship's wheel or 3rd class cabin to experience the cruise. The highlight of the day was the workshop run at the venue. Students dressed up as crew members or passengers and got an insight into what it was like when Titanic had hit the iceberg and started sinking. Later, they were involved in 4 activities such as decoding Morse Code or a scientific experiment of sinking the Titanic.
