On Wednesday 19^th June, a group of our Year 9 boys attended a Book Presentation Ceremony to celebrate their hard work on the Boys’ Impact Programme at Reading University. Over the past few months, they participated in a series of university-style tutorials on masculinity and male characters within creative writing and literature, and then had the opportunity to write a short story based on a character they developed. This was then published in book form and presented to the boys at the ceremony. It was a really beneficial day for the boys. Not only did they see their work published and have this celebrated at the university, they also had a tour of the university and participated in a lively Q&A session about university life.
