Wexham School is a friendly and vibrant school with a highly committed staff who want the best for all our students. We have developed a “can do” attitude through collaboration and effective partnerships. We are proud to be a non-selective secondary school with a sixth form, which Ofsted judged to be ‘Good’ in all categories in November 2017. These are exciting times to join us as we expand the school and have recently moved a substantial part of the school into new accommodation.
We offer:
- A reduced timetable and an excellent support programme for ECTs

- All teaching staff have dedicated PPA time and additional non-contact time.
- All teaching staff benefit from a dedicated timetabled weekly CPD session, adding to non-contact time.

As a maintained school all our teachers must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on a recognised training route. This also means that the requirements for teachers' pay and conditions for maintained schools in England must be abided by the School and the Local Authority.
Many posts we are advertising are new positions due to the school expanding. In three years the school has grown by over 350 students. Larger year groups have now replaced smaller year groups at Key Stage Four (GCSE) leading to a significant expansion of staffing over the last two years. Now these large groups are due to enter our Sixth Form, which will complete our expansion by 2025.

Child Protection Officer / Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Start January 2025 (or earlier)
- Salary: Level 6 SCP 24-29 (FTE £35,378 - £39,690) inclusive of Local Weighting
- Actual Salary: £31,007 up to £34,786 inclusive of Local Weighting
- (Potential of Level 7 for an experienced applicant)
- Term Time Only (Pro-Rata) plus 5 inset days + 5 days (in the holidays)

Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Start Early 2025
- Salary: Level 8 SCP 36 – 41 £46,782 - £51,852 (FTE) including London Fringe Allowance
- This can also be Term Time Only, where the salary would be £40,104 up to £44,450
Administrative Officer (SEND)
- To start as soon as possible
- 37 hours per week – term time only 39 weeks + 5 days (optional)
- Salary: Level 4 SCP: 8-12 £27,056 up to £28,775 FTE inc London Weighting
- Actual Salary Range: £23,713 - £25,219 Inc. London weighting
