POST 16 LEVEL 2
You are here:LEVEL 2 QUALIFICATIONS FOR POST-16 STUDENTS
Run as part of our Post-16 provision for students who require another year of Level 2 (GCSE standard) learning, prior to starting Level 3 qualifications, these BTEC qualifications provide an opportunity for students to engage in their learning, delivered by the highly experienced and skilled Humanities and Inclusion Teams to enable students to progress effectively with their education. We offer a choice of two courses, with students selecting one alongside re-sitting their Maths and/or English GCSE.
Health and Social Care
Students can opt for this course as part of our bridging course to support students who are not yet Level 3 ‘ready’ and will benefit from further intensive study at Level 2, whilst also re-sitting Maths and/or English GCSE. The course covers a range of topic areas that explore issues and concepts around human growth and development and healthy living. Successful completion of the course will allow students to progress on to Level 3 qualifications the following year.
Students will develop their independence, writing, presentation, research, and critical thinking skills throughout the course as a result of completed assignments which will be internally and externally assessed and verified.
